Thanks Jill for the wonderful lesson on thoughts from Sister Cheryl C. Lant's General Conference talk
4-2010.
We we had a great discussion on ideas of how to make sure we are presenting opportunities for our children to see the face of the Savior.
Are we setting the example we want them to achieve.
Are they seeing us pray, read our scriptures and live a life according to the gospel.
We are so blessed to be given this time with our children. Making each moment count as they grow.
We all have the opportunity to bless a child's life. Rather you are the parent, grand parent, aunt, primary teacher, Sunday school teacher, neighbor or any other person touching the life of a child.

Family History Night
I would like to express our appreciation to Kim Cutler and the presenters Brother Hultgren, Brother and Sister Corless and Sister Petrich for a great presentation on Family History. Kim worked really hard to show us how easy it is to work on our genealogy and help others along the way indexing. We had a nice turn out and took away some wonderful information. Kim also made herself available to help others in their home too. As it's sometimes difficult to learn at one place and then go home and try and recall all you learned, no less on a different system.
Way to go.
Remember we will be following up with preservation on August 12th, @ 7:30. Hope to see you all there.

Recipe for the Month
Dutch Oven cooking is fun and easy. Dutch oven recipes are abundant and adapting them from your favorite home recipes is easy. With a little experience you'll find that it is fairly simple to cook with your Dutch oven. Here are some easy Dutch oven recipes to try:
Easy Dutch Oven Mountain Man Hash
1 lb. Bacon or sausage
2 lbs frozen potatoes (shredded or southern style)
1 dozen eggs
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Cut bacon/sausage into smaller pieces (about 1"). Cook the bacon or sausage in the Dutch oven. Add potatoes, cover with lid with coals on top. Cook until potatoes are done, stirring occasionally. Mix eggs together in a bowl and pour on top of potatoes. Replace lid with coals on top and cook until eggs are done (shouldn't need a long time if the lid is hot). When eggs are done, sprinkle cheese on top, replace lid and bake until cheese is melted. Serve as is, or wrap spoonfuls in warmed flour tortillas to make breakfast burritos (provide salsa).

Presidency Message
Have I been Christ like today? Sisters when we think of Christ we know of a perfect being. Are we striving to be the servant the Lord wants us to be. If we saw Christ today, would he say good work faithful servant. Would we feel pleased with our actions and thoughts.
As President Uchtdorf reminds us; true love requires action. We can preach and encourage it, but we must manifest it through our actions.
Have you thought of your sisters today. Have you checked in on them, made a phone call just to say hi you are on my mind.
We have been blessed to be given the callings of Visiting Teachers. The blessings from Heaven are infinite, when we take time to do the small task the Lord would have us do.

Quiet Book
We have been meeting each Tuesday at 10am and 7pm to work on a wonderful quiet book. This has been a real joy getting together and doing a craft while visiting together. And the children have had a great time running about and playing together. Pictures to follow. Thanks Sister Wilkerson for your great idea.
