Thank you Sister Nichols for the great lesson on the Blessings we receive for being prepared.
It seems as we talked, we all have great ideas on what to do. Praying, fasting, reading our scriptures. The Lord gives us all these opportunities to prepare ourselves if we just use the keys provided.
We appreciate all the comments shared. The inspirations we receive from each other is so helpful. Thank goodness the Lord saw need for Relief Society.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD COME AND LEARN THE OPPORTUNITIES RELEIF SOCIETY HAS TO OFFER. EVERY RIGHTEOUS WOMAN HAS A SIGNIFICANT ROLE TO PLAY IN GOD'S PLAN AND THE BUILDING UP OF HIS KINGDOM. The Atonement
Sister Halverson shared the lesson on the Atonement with us on Sunday. She shared a beautiful testimony from a lady they met on their mission. This sister went through some really trying times with her father that no person should ever have to experience. We are so blessed Heavenly Father would sacrifice his son to take on the trials and tribulations of our life that we would not be able to manage our self. And for the opportunity given to us to experience these trials to prove our self worthy of the desire to return to him.
With so much information in this lesson, it seems we barely touched on it. I would encourage all of us to take time to read and ponder this lesson.
It's amazing how these lessons are prepared ahead of time, and yet the message is so pertinent to our present time.

The Life of Christ
Nice lesson given to us by Sister Caldwell. What a busy week she had. First talking in R.S. Conference and now on Sunday too. She has taken a very poignant motto out of this lesson. I know it's one I would surely like to follow.
The Life of Christ Was Predicted Long Before His Birth
He Was the Only Begotten of the Father
What did Jesus inherit from His Father? What did He inherit from His mother?
He Led a Perfect Life
What does the Savior's life mean for us?
He Taught Us How to Love and Serve One Another
How did the Savior teach us how to love and serve one another?
He Organized the Only True Church
Why did the Savior organize His Church and ordain Apostles?
He Redeemed Us from Our Sins and Saved Us from Death
As you study this section, take time to ponder the events of the Atonement
His Sacrifice Showed His Love for His Father and for Us
"I do always those things that please him"
He Was the Only Begotten of the Father

Stake Relief Society Conference
Sisters I hope you had the opportunity to attend R.S. conference last night. We had the honor of hearing from President and Sister Caldwell talk about the blessings of being worthy to attend the Temple.
We are reminded to set aside time to do so. How blessed we are to have one so near us. Sister Caldwell reminded us to leave our watches off and forget about that Costco list, just surround our self with the blessings we are receiving. And the blessings being extended to those that have gone on before us.
President Caldwell told a couple jokes....You will have to ask him about them.
He also shared a beautiful story on the history of the Vernal Temple previously the Uintah Stake Tabernacle and how his family has such heritage with it.
We had beautiful music sang to us.
We finished off the night viewing all the beautiful pictures of families and couples posing in front of many different temples. Yummy punch, cookies and socializing.
Sisters we are all so busy. But the Lord wants us to make time for these special inspirations. To keep our cup over flowing with the desire to serve him and fulfill our testimonies.
Thank you to our wonderful Stake Relief Society for putting together this lovely evening.

Pillow Talk/ Pillow Make Over: June 29 7-8:30pm
Sisters,
Please start looking around your home for that pillow that needs a make over. What piece of fabric do you have that will brighten it up.
Is it a piece of fabric (you already have) a top in your closet you don't wear, a curtain, kitchen towel, part of an unfinished quilt, one of your sons first white shirts he out grew, a special dress you little girl wore? You know you must have something sentimental you could recover it with.
We need sisters to plan on bringing sewing machines that night too.
For those of you who think you can't come because you don't sew; think again... we will help you, maybe yours can be done without even sewing.
I know we have very creative sisters. Put on your sewing/crafting hats and lets have a great time.

Service Coupons
6/10/2010 We had a nice morning getting together with sisters, sharing stories and planning future service we might give and or do.
Sister Cutler brought up the idea of doing an auction with the serivce coupons. Ideas and memories started flying. So we have agreed to hang on to our service coupons for a future Relief Society evening. Let's pass around the word and, get everyone involved.
Thank you to all who were there. It's so nice getting know our sisters.

Commitment
Sister Kinser gave a talk on commitment today. It was wonderful to have so many sisters share their ideas about what helps them be committed to what they need to do. Maybe writing a list, keeping a calendar. What helps keep us on the right track. Starting the day with a conversation to Heavenly Father. We are reminded as women we can be hard on ourselves with our short comings. But it is very important to think of the time and place we are at in lives right now. Setting our priorities as Heavenly Father would want them to be.
Presidency Message
I have grown to love Sister Julie Beck. She is very aware of the sisters of the world and always right on target with her talks. This excerpet from her talk in the April Conference again is just what we need. She is aware of how busy our lives have become and our need to choose between good and good. It isn’t her observation of how busy we are, but the soulition that is so important.
“A good woman knows that she does not have enough time, energy, or opportunity to take care of all of the people or do all of the worthy things her heart yearns to do. Life is not calm for most women, and each day seems to require the accomplishment of a million things, most of which are important. A good woman must constantly resist alluring and deceptive messages from many sources telling her that she is entitled to more time away from her responsibilities and that she deserves a life of greater ease and independence. But with personal revelation, she can prioritize correctly and navigate this life confidently.
The ability to qualify for, receive, and act on personal revelation is the single most important skill that can be acquired in this life.” Julie Beck
I pray that we will all strive to seek that revelation. Have a great summer.
