Kasi thank you for sharing that great lesson with us from President B. Eyring. We are reminded of all our important roles in teaching the Lords children. The responsibility we have to start when they are young and give them that strong foundation to go forth as good people and great missionaries. I love the part of his talk when he says "Many bishops in the Church are inspired to call the strongest people in the ward to serve individual children in the Primary. They realize that if the children are strengthened with faith and testimony, they will be less likely to need rescue as teenagers. They realize that a strong spiritual foundation can make the difference for a lifetime."
It can be tough growing up. And even when we are grown up it can be tough. As many sisters shared in Relief Society it's important that we make sure each person knows how special they are and the Lord loves us all in spite of our weaknesses. If we just try.
Next week is a 5th week and will be a combined meeting.
EVERY WOMAN SHOULD COME AND LEARN THE OPPORTUNITIES RELEIF SOCIETY HAS TO OFFER. EVERY RIGHTEOUS WOMAN HAS A SIGNIFICANT ROLE TO PLAY IN GOD'S PLAN AND THE BUILDING UP OF HIS KINGDOM. "RELIEF SOCIETY NEEDS YOU AND YOU NEED RELIEF SOCIETY!"-SILVIA H. ALLRED, FIRST CONSELOR IN THE RELIEF SOCIETY GENERAL PESIDENCY.

Fast
Dear Sisters and Families,
We have had a request for a day of fasting for Brother and Sister Thomas, as they travel to Texas to attend a custody hearing in order to gain custody of their grand children.
They are in our hearts, prayers and minds at this extremely difficult time.

Memorial Fund
There has been a memorial fund set up for Jennifer Thomas' kids by the Class of '98 at First National Bank and Trust in Lovell. Please pass the information on to anyone you think would want to know. For more information please call Kim Cutler or Kathleen at the bank. Jennifer will be sadly missed, but hopefully we can help her kids out even a little!

Loss of a Precious Daughter
Sisters it's with great sadness I am posting this. Our ward family Brother and Sister Thomas have lost their Beautiful Daughter of God to a very horrible and senseless death. Please keep this wonderful family in your prayers and thoughts.
Service Project
Although we had a small turn out for our service activity on Thursday, it did not hold us back from having a great time.
Many adorable bibs were cut, sewn and put together with a lot of love. Now we just need those little ones to come along and model them for us.
Thank you to those sisters who were able to be there, and for bringing all the supplies we needed to make it happen.

Scriptures
Wow did you feel the spirit just radiating off Sister Bray. What a blessing we have in life to know we can look to the true scriptures to lead our way. The knowledge that the word of President Monson is scripture from the Lord.
Gospel Principles:
Studying the Scriptures
~What blessings can we receive when we study the scriptures?
We should each study the scriptures every day. We should share these truths with our children. We should read the standard works with our children so they will learn to love them and use them for the truths they contain.
Thank you for that beautiful lesson Sister Bray.

Prophets of God
Thank you Sister Echo Caldwell for a beautiful lesson on our Prophets. It was wonderful to hear the memories the sisters shared, while being inspired during the lesson.
Echo reminded us how fortunate we are to know we have a Prophet to lead and guide us today. And how hard it must be for those in the world who don't know.
Our lesson taught us:
No person except the chosen prophet and President can receive God's will for the entire membership of the Church. The Lord said, "There is never but one on the earth at a time on whom this power and the keys of this priesthood are conferred" (D&C 132:7)
(D&C 68:3-5) (when the Lord's servants speak as moved by the Holy Ghost, it is the mind, will, and voice of the Lord)
How should we sustain the Prophet?
Pray for him.
Study his words.
Follow his inspired teachings completely.
Have a great week sisters. Next weeks lesson is on Scriptures page 45 in your Gospel Principles manual.

Conversion By Sister Jill Carpenter
Jill this was such an inspired and beautiful lesson. Thank you for your time and effort. Sisters please take the time to see your visiting sisters. Reach for those blessings Heavenly Father is just waiting to pour down on you.
Sisters as we have met as the newly called Presidency of this wards Relief Society we have felt a deep appreciation for the recently released presidency for their labors in the Lords vineyard. For their tireless efforts to strengthen each of us through their service. I also testify to you that these sisters who are now called to serve, each have their own personal conversion to the gospel, sustain the Priesthood of God, and of the role of the Relief Society program under the direction of this priesthood. We still have much to learn and I am certain that we will be strengthened and gain a greater level of conversion as we serve in this capacity. It is now with our heartfelt love and concern that we want to be an instrument in the Lords hands to help you be strengthened in any way we can. We ask for your prayers, love, support and the contribution of your strengths, gifts, talents. As we share the divine attributes given to each one of us as sister in Zion, work side-by-side to build up God’s kingdom we will be edified, uplifted, refined, and converted to new principles of the Gospel as we accept the Lord’s invitation to come unto Him!
The survey we asked you to fill out telling us more about your interest and your gifts/talents, and where you are willing to share those gifts to serve and strengthen other sisters; can only help us know where we can better serve you and let us know what you are willing to strengthen others and to bring enrichment into each others lives.
I close repeating Sister Allred’s statement again, “Sisters the Relief Society Needs YOU! And you Need Relief Society.” as we work and serve together, pray for one another, and enjoy each others talents. As we work towards the goal of becoming the woman the Savior needs us to be; needs will be met, we will bring others unto Christ, lift many hands that hang down, strengthen our testimonies, and buoy-up each others spirits, through these experiences we will gain many blessings--personally which in turn will strengthen our families and homes.
May you know the love and concern we as a presidency have for each of you. May we each be converted that we are “Needed” in this great organization is my humble prayer. In the name of our everlasting strength; our ultimate example, our kind and compassionate friend, that of Jesus Christ. Amen

Measuring Success
Good women always have a desire to know if they are succeeding. In a world where the measures of success are often distorted, it is important to seek appreciation and affirmation from proper sources. To paraphrase a list found in Preach My Gospel, we are doing well when we develop attributes of Christ and strive to obey His gospel with exactness. We are doing well when we seek to improve ourselves and do our best. We are doing well when we increase faith and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes, and seek out and help others who are in need. We know we are successful if we live so that we qualify for, receive, and know how to follow the Spirit. When we have done our very best, we may still experience disappointments, but we will not be disappointed in ourselves. We can feel certain that the Lord is pleased when we feel the Spirit working through us.9 Peace, joy, and hope are available to those who measure success properly. Julie B. Beck
